“Kari”(means Door) is a symbol of new space, opportunity and adventure , the margin of your home, kitchen and bedroom. “Kari” as an installation and monument, with its functional or poetic content. The idea of installing “Kari” was born, after The “Writers’ Union of Adjara” gave its own historic door as gift to Contemporary Art Space. After creative and technical work, it was decided where and how to install the door. At the end of the restoration work the final form of the idea was formed. Decorative lighting, new, restored form and symbolic meaning door is placed on the opposite side of Contemporary Art Space. The most important feature of the “door” is its symbolic and meaning, which is related to the exhibition or other activities of contemporary art space. “Kari” is opened four times a year, it relates to the changing times and nature of the year. On, June,1 “Kari” will be opened for one month, because of the Summer season. “Kari” also continue the exhibition seasons, cognitive and educational projects. On June,1 at 18:00 Contemporary Art Space is planned exhibition named as “in Childhood and Now”. The sketches painted by the students of Art University’s Faculty of Design in childhood and now. Curated by Ketevan Vacheishvili. 8 of June-exhibition named as Batumi-curated by Alexander Florensky. The project concept means the exhibition of seven artists from Tbilisi and 7 from Saint Petersburg .Each artists were in Batumi and brought them impressions about the city, some similar, some are different. 22 of June- Ira Korina personal grapgic art exhibition . Also every week we conduct activities, such as film screening, every Saturday at 16:00 and Kids’ Corner, every Saturday at 12:00.
